Description

Lead complex IT initiatives within the modular Medicaid Enterprise System, managing the full project lifecycle from initiation through closure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Direct project teams through implementations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations.
• Mitigate project risks and issues while proposing business process improvements.
• Coordinate with external vendors, federal partners, and oversight entities including CMS and VITA.
• Advise the PMO Director on operational matters such as staffing, contracts, and process optimization.

Required Skills

• 10 years of experience with senior-level Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) practices.
• 10 years of experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
• 10 years of experience leading project teams through implementations, including at least one project valued at $1M or higher.
• 10 years of experience with Agile and Waterfall software development concepts.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience managing complex technical and operational issues to resolution.

Preferred Skills

• 5 years of experience with vendor management and contract oversight.
• 5 years of experience with the Advance Planning Document (APD) process for CMS federal grants.
• 5 years of experience using MS Project for integrated project schedules.
