Description

Lead the implementation of a contract and grants management system using PMBOK best practices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Drive project delivery through the full lifecycle, managing plans, resource allocation, risks, scope, and schedules.
• Coordinate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, Sprint Demos, and Story Refinement.
• Manage the product backlog with the Product Owner to ensure priority alignment.
• Track and report project progress, team velocity, and key metrics to stakeholders and management.
• Act as the primary liaison between VDSS, suppliers, and external organizations to ensure clear communication and requirement fulfillment.

Required Skills

• PMP certification.
• 8 years of experience in software development life cycle (SDLC) models.
• 8 years of experience with Scrum/Kanban Agile methodologies.
• 8 years of experience in mentoring, coaching, and team building.
• Ability to obtain VITA PMD category 1 certification within 3 months of employment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project for portfolio project management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Experience managing scope changes and risk/issue mitigation.

Preferred Skills

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification.
• Prior experience in Health Care, Human Services, Medicaid, or Virginia State Government.
