Description

You will serve as the Independent QA Services Practitioner for the Washington State Ferries Ticketing and Reservation Modernization Project, ensuring delivery adheres to WaTech standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the quality assurance management plan, investment review plan, and PQA records library.
• Conduct readiness assessments, risk assessment reports, and project plan/schedule evaluations.
• Review change requests and ensure compliance with WaTech Policy PM-03 throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide independent oversight to ensure timely program delivery and process adherence.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as an Independent QA Services Practitioner managing projects under WaTech oversight (Policy PM-03).
• Deep knowledge of Quality Assurance IT Project principles, minimum qualifications for QA providers, and minimum QA activities.
• Experience with government agencies, ideally in transportation environments deploying public-facing software.
• Prior experience with WSDOT or Washington State Ferries is strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage tightly constrained schedules during bid and execution phases.
• Strong documentation skills for creating comprehensive QA deliverables.

Preferred Skills

• Direct prior experience with WSDOT Washington State Ferries projects.
• Specific expertise in WaTech standards and policy compliance.
