Description

Lead the implementation of a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and manage various IT projects for the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory. You will own complex project schedules, timelines, milestones, and critical paths to ensure timely completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple complex project schedules, timelines, milestones, and critical paths to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct stage gate review meetings and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts for the LIMS replacement.
• Identify, advise on, and escalate key risks and issues impacting project delivery.
• Manage organizational change efforts and advocate for resource allocation across project tasks.
• Produce biweekly status reports, resource capacity reports, and project planning updates for management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional project management experience.
• PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
• Proficiency with Office 365 and Tableau.
• Experience working within state government environments.
• Proven ability to manage extremely complex or high-risk projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with technical teams and public health leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote capacity.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Organizational Change Management in a laboratory or clinical care setting.
• Project management experience within a laboratory or clinical care environment.
• Familiarity with PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodologies.
