Description

Lead the implementation of a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and manage various IT projects for the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex project schedules, timelines, milestones, and critical paths to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct stage gate review meetings and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts for the LIMS replacement.
• Identify, advise on, and escalate key risks and issues impacting project delivery.
• Manage organizational change efforts and advocate for resource allocation across project tasks.
• Produce biweekly status reports, resource capacity reports, and project planning updates for management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional project management experience.
• PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
• Proficiency with Office 365 and Tableau.
• Experience working within state government environments.
• Proven ability to manage extremely complex or high-risk projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with technical teams and public health leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote capacity.
