Description

You provide direct daily living care and clinical support for patients in a psychiatric setting.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct daily living care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and repositioning bedridden patients.
• Monitor and record accurate blood pressure and vital signs in patient charts.
• Execute emergency responses including CPR, the Heimlich maneuver, and patient rescue during emergencies.
• Manage patient safety through regular rounds, accountability checks, and verbal de-escalation of agitated patients.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a clinical or patient care role.
• Proficiency in performing the Heimlich maneuver and CPR.
• Experience with verbal de-escalation techniques for agitated patients.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive bending, stooping, and walking.
• Capability to work 13-hour shifts on a 3-3 rotation, including every other weekend.
• Ability to use medical equipment such as sliding boards and wheelchairs for patient transfers.
• Valid TB test and seasonal flu shot documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and escorting patients to medical appointments.
• Maintain patient environments by cleaning, sanitizing areas, changing sheets, and restocking supplies.
