Manage public health programming and community outreach initiatives to improve health outcomes in Nashville.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate public health programs within community settings.
• Communicate complex health information to diverse audiences through public speaking and written materials.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community partners to develop health partnerships.
• Execute community engagement and outreach efforts focused on health equity and cultural competence.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Community Health, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in program planning and implementation.
• Strong understanding of public health principles and evidence-based practices.
• Knowledge of health behavior theories and strategies for behavior change.
• Proven ability to work with community partners and interdisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated experience in community engagement and outreach.
• Effective communication and public speaking skills.

Preferred Skills

• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHE) certification.
• Experience working with underserved populations and addressing health disparities.
• Intermediate proficiency in REDCap (survey creation, reports) and Canva (flyers, one-pagers, posters).
