Description

You will design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and AWS cloud infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain RESTful/GraphQL APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework.
• Architect and deploy cloud-native microservices on AWS, including Lambda, ECS, EKS, and API Gateway.
• Implement secure API access using OAuth2, JWT, IAM roles, and API Gateway integrations.
• Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI and manage infrastructure with Terraform.
• Optimize database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, ensuring high performance and reliability.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Python API development.
• Strong expertise in AWS services: Lambda, ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, CloudFront, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache.
• Proficiency with API frameworks: FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, specifically Terraform.
• Understanding of CloudWatch, X-Ray, and distributed tracing.
• Strong grasp of asynchronous programming, multi-threading, and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS CDK or advanced Terraform modules.
• Exposure to API Gateway custom authorizers, WAF, or Cognito.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other streaming platforms.
