Description

You will build and maintain scalable RESTful APIs throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial design to deprecation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy RESTful APIs and supporting infrastructure.
• Write maintainable, unit-tested code following OOP and data structure principles.
• Manage background task processing and message queue systems.
• Implement API security protocols including OAuth and JWT.
• Collaborate with engineers, UX designers, product managers, and architects to deliver digital products.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• 3+ years of Python server development using Django, Flask, or Bottle.
• Expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with AWS, including EC2 and Lambda serverless functions.
• Proficiency with Docker and CI/CD solutions.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and DevOps principles.
• Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ or ZeroMQ.
• Experience with background task management using Celery.
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL database principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with large-scale projects in large organizations.
