You will own the architecture and delivery of high-performance Python-based systems, blending backend engineering with emerging AI capabilities.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable web applications using Django or Flask, ensuring robust RESTful API responses.
• Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS, leveraging Lambda and SQS for asynchronous processing.
• Integrate real-time data streams using Kafka and apply prompt engineering techniques for Gen AI and agentic development workflows.
• Manage the full deployment lifecycle on Linux environments using Nginx or Apache, enforcing CI/CD pipelines.
• Tune application performance and troubleshoot complex backend issues, ensuring security best practices throughout.

Required Skills

• 11+ years of professional experience with Python, demonstrating expert-level proficiency.
• Minimum 5+ years designing and building web applications with Django or Flask.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, AWS Lambda, SQS, and Kafka.
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, and architectural principles.
• Experience with database technologies, specifically MongoDB.
• Proficiency in CI/CD practices, Linux server management (Nginx/Apache), and DevOps tooling.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (Angular/React) for seamless backend integration.
• Experience with project tracking tools like Jira and Git.
• Strong grasp of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI-driven development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Knowledge of security domain best practices.
