Description

Design and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy backend solutions using AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, and IAM.
• Implement real-time communication via WebSockets or SignalR and event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ, Kafka, or ActiveMQ.
• Develop secure, reliable RESTful and asynchronous APIs with a focus on performance and security.
• Integrate Redis for caching and optimization, and implement monitoring using OpenTelemetry (OTEL) and AWS tools.
• Conduct performance, load, and security testing to ensure system reliability and troubleshoot production issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Python backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Proven expertise in AWS architecture, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or ActiveMQ.
• Strong knowledge of Redis and caching strategies.
• Familiarity with distributed tracing tools like OpenTelemetry (OTEL).
• Experience with performance testing tools such as Locust, JMeter, or k6.
• Understanding of REST APIs, async programming, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Docker and container-based deployments.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Kubernetes (EKS).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
