Description

Lead application development and middleware platform activities within an AWS cloud environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop web APIs using Python frameworks like Flask or Falcon.
• Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform and CI/CD as code via Concourse or Jenkins.
• Execute blue/green deployments for API and microservices-based applications.
• Automate AWS serverless applications and manage configuration using Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of IT experience with extensive hands-on application development in Python.
• 3+ years of experience in AWS cloud development.
• 3+ years of experience developing Python APIs and implementing infrastructure automation with Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Concourse, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Experience with testing frameworks including pytest, UnitTest, and Python Splinter.
• Knowledge of implementing infrastructure as code and CI/CD as code.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical teammates.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Associate Architect or Professional.
• Experience monitoring applications using AWS Native tools, Splunk, or New Relic.
