Description

You will build and maintain complex backend systems using Python and microservices architectures in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable applications using RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services into existing workflows.
• Optimize backend performance and implement tuning techniques.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Mentor and coach junior developers within the engineering team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience developing complex backends with Python.
• Hands-on experience with the FastAPI framework.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure Functions and Azure Service Bus.
• Experience working with MSSQL databases.
• Practical knowledge of Docker and containerization.
• Familiarity with Azure Pipelines or similar CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, testing patterns, and architecture principles.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in corporate financial services environments.
• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent web development experience.
