Description

Build and maintain secure, scalable backend systems and compliance automation tools using Python and modern microservices architectures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices using Python.
• Implement security controls including RBAC, OAuth2/JWT, encryption, and audit logging.
• Build compliance automation and audit-ready systems aligned with SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST, and FedRAMP frameworks.
• Manage containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS.
• Design and optimize SQL/NoSQL database schemas for PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Oracle.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on Python backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in REST API design and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of GRC/compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST, FedRAMP).
• Experience with security implementation: IAM, secure coding, and CI/CD integration (DevSecOps).
• Strong database skills with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Oracle.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Node.js, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch).
