Python Security Triage Developer
Analyze Python findings and engineer lightweight services and utilities that enrich repository context, automate repeatable checks and capture
consistent evidence. The role combines secure Python development with repository-level vulnerability reasoning.
Key responsibilities
• Assess Python source, packages, entry points, framework behavior, configuration and deployment assumptions for reachability and
attacker influence.
• Apply accepted project patterns only where their preconditions hold and document the facts that make the case applicable or exceptional.
• Build parsers, APIs, batch processors, enrichment checks, pattern-lookup utilities and analyst workflow integrations.
• Create automated tests and validation controls for extracted context, structured rationale fields and decision-support logic.
• Escalate novel or high-risk cases through an evidence-preserving handoff rather than treating automation output as the decision.
Mandatory requirements
• Strong Python software engineering and source comprehension, including packaging, dependency resolution, testing and common service
or web patterns.
• API and structured-data experience, schema validation, logging, Git, CI/CD and maintainable test automation.
• Security reasoning across injection, deserialization, path handling, authorization, unsafe execution and configuration-driven exposure.
• Ability to reason about untrusted input, reachable paths, environmental preconditions and mitigating controls.
