Description

You will build and maintain Python-based automation to orchestrate jobs across Oracle 19c on-prem systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy Python automation scripts to orchestrate jobs across Oracle 19c systems.
• Design and implement Airflow DAGs to manage complex, interdependent ETL workflows.
• Migrate legacy job logic from Perl, RunMyJob, and PL/SQL into modular Airflow DAGs.
• Build custom Airflow operators and sensors for Oracle, REST APIs, and SFTP/FTP integrations.
• Implement error handling, alerting, retry mechanisms, and SLA monitoring dashboards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Python development experience with a focus on system and process automation.
• 2+ years of experience building production DAGs in Apache Airflow.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle 19c database, SQL tuning, and PL/SQL concepts.
• Experience orchestrating large-volume data movement across enterprise systems.
• Ability to replace or abstract legacy schedulers like RunMyJob or Autosys.
• Experience building REST API integrations and SFTP/file movement logic.
• Proficiency in debugging via logs, databases, and filesystems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience modernizing legacy workflows from Perl or PL/SQL stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with financial data models and operational risk in financial systems.
