Description

You will enhance and maintain a Python-based production application while leading the transition to a database-first architecture. Your focus will be on optimizing complex SQL queries, refactoring application logic into efficient database operations, and ensuring scalability and data integrity within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with engineering teams on performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural shift to a database-first design for existing Python applications.
• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and data models.
• Refactor application logic from Python into efficient database operations.
• Build and manage applications within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and data-related issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Python development for production-level applications.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, schema design, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for application deployment and management.
• Solid understanding of data architecture and database-first design principles.
• Experience refactoring and maintaining existing codebases.
• Ability to balance backend service logic with database operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
