Description

You will develop and maintain custom tools and automation scripts to optimize the VFX and Animation production pipeline.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Python tools for Blender, Houdini, Nuke, and Unreal Engine workflows.
• Manage GitHub repositories using branching strategies, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build asset management tools, publishing systems, and data pipelines for version tracking and metadata tagging.
• Collaborate with FX TDs, LookDev, and Asset departments to integrate tools and optimize workflows.
• Support R&D in developing AI/ML-based tools, including data wrangling and model deployment.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a Python Developer, ideally within VFX, Animation, or Gaming pipelines.
• Proficiency with DCC application APIs: Blender (bpy), Houdini (hou, HDAs), and Nuke (nuke, Blink).
• Solid experience managing GitHub workflows and CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Experience with cross-platform deployment across Linux, Windows, and Mac.
• Knowledge of data wrangling, file management, and production tracking tools like Ayon or Kitsu.
• Competency in Python, VFX Pipeline development, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex pipeline issues and provide technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI/ML integration pipelines using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Stable Diffusion.
• Knowledge of Docker, C++, OpenGL, or shader development.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud) and database management (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
