Description

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure RESTful APIs on AWS.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure RESTful APIs using Python and AWS services.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for cloud resources.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize data to develop visualizations for software improvement.
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming to ensure coding standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of applied software development experience.
• Expertise in AWS-based API development using Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EC2, IAM, EventBridge.
• Proficiency in RESTful API development and tools like Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, and Application Resiliency.
• Experience developing and debugging code in a large corporate environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
