Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Python and modern web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Develop secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices to support enterprise applications.
  • Build and integrate front-end components using React.js, JavaScript, and GraphQL when required.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and application performance.
  • Develop, deploy, and support cloud-native applications using AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS, IAM, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
  • Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing applications and development practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–13 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python programming.
  • Experience working with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Strong experience with React.js, JavaScript, and GraphQL.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and advanced SQL concepts.
  • Experience developing and deploying applications on AWS Cloud.
  • Proficiency with Git and version control best practices.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
  • Knowledge of Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools including CloudWatch, Splunk, or Datadog.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience building scalable, highly available enterprise applications.
  • Prior experience supporting airline, travel, transportation, or large-scale enterprise environments is preferred.
