Description

Lead the automation and orchestration of complex data workflows, replacing legacy systems with fault-tolerant Python pipelines.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and build auditable data pipelines across on-prem Oracle systems.
• Replace legacy Perl/PLSQL scheduling logic with Python-based DAG orchestration using Airflow.
• Orchestrate jobs moving large volumes of data between enterprise systems.
• Implement REST API integrations, SFTP file movement, and parameter-driven automation.
• Debug failed or partial job runs by analyzing logs, databases, and filesystem.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Python development experience with system/process automation focus.
• 2+ years building production DAGs in Apache Airflow.
• Solid understanding of Oracle 19c, SQL tuning, and PL/SQL concepts.
• Experience integrating with job schedulers (RunMyJobs, Autosys).
• Experience building REST API integrations and file movement logic.
• Strong debugging skills across system components.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience modernizing workflows from Perl or PL/SQL stored procedures.
• Hands-on knowledge of Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
