Description

Build and maintain the middle layer of an enterprise financial reporting platform using Python.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and test code for RESTful microservices and shared components.
• Build scalable calculations to ensure high performance over large datasets.
• Develop automated tests including unit, functional, performance, and acceptance testing.
• Refactor existing code to improve maintainability, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with DevOps and UI teams to automate deployment and improve production resilience.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Python programming.
• Proficiency with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
• Strong data manipulation skills using Pandas or NumPy.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Pytest or Unittest.
• Working knowledge of relational databases.
• Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, and Jira.
• Experience working in Linux and Docker environments.
• Competency with package management tools like Conda and pip.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
• Prior experience working within financial services companies.
