Description

You will design, build, and unit test backend web applications for internal systems within a DevOps team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend web application components based on requirements from engineers and product owners.
• Build, test, and document APIs for use by other application components and external services.
• Conduct and lead pull-request reviews, peer reviews, and test case reviews.
• Develop application deployment strategies to minimize manual intervention and participate in deployment decisions.
• Collaborate with test teams to troubleshoot defects and build automation tools.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience leading development teams in building web applications.
• Expert knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles in Python.
• Proficiency with Python and Flask, including application routing and backend web programming.
• Experience working with JSON and YAML.
• Mandatory experience using Git and Jira throughout your development career.
• Strong Linux experience and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to generate high-quality requirements, design, and test documentation using MS Office tools.

Preferred Skills

• Database design experience, relational or otherwise.
• Understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing and routing.
• Experience building distributed software systems and test automation.
