Description

You will own the maintenance and evolution of a Python-based production application, driving its transition to a database-first architecture.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Refactor application logic from Python into efficient database operations to reduce backend overhead.
• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and data models for performance and integrity.
• Build and manage applications and databases within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and data-related issues in a production environment.
• Support deployment, configuration, and performance tuning of cloud-based systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of strong experience in Python development for production-level applications.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, schema design, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for application deployment and management.
• Solid understanding of data architecture and database-first design principles.
• Proven ability to effectively balance application logic between backend services and databases.
• Experience working with and refactoring existing codebases.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
