Description

You will build and maintain scalable backend services using Python.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using FastAPI and SQLModel.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites for API functionality.
• Optimize database schemas and write efficient queries.
• Implement caching strategies and rate limiting for APIs.
• Assist in implementing data lifecycle workflows for archiving and purging stale data.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST.
• Deep understanding of REST API design principles.
• Expertise in asynchronous programming with Python.
• Solid experience with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Strong knowledge of API security best practices.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments like OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests.
