Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and data services using Python.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using FastAPI, SQLModel, and Redis.
• Architect database schemas, optimize complex PostgreSQL queries, and implement caching strategies.
• Own the release pipeline, ensuring clean code and efficient containerized deployments.
• Create automated test suites for unit and integration testing and conduct rigorous code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers and assist in designing workflows for data lifecycle management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong expertise with FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework.
• Deep understanding of REST API design principles and async programming (asyncio).
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL and SQL database optimization.
• Proficiency in writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized deployment (OpenShift or Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of API security standards including OAuth2 and JWT.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data lifecycle management, including stale data detection and archiving.
