Description

Develop and enhance provisioning systems and platform tooling for virtualization infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build APIs and command-based interfaces for managing virtual machine configurations.
• Write secure, testable code for backend systems and collaborate on technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across infrastructure components including OS, network, and storage.
• Support continuous integration and deployment processes using modern development tools.

Required Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python and Perl with experience in large, modular codebases (10k+ lines).
• Strong expertise in Linux/UNIX systems and system-level programming.
• Experience with SQL and database programming.
• Proficiency with development tools including Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices.
• Backend server development for distributed systems with high availability APIs.
• Experience with 5+ years in software development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with virtualization technologies, especially VMware, and IaaS platform design.
• Familiarity with additional programming languages such as Erlang or Prolog.
