Build backend systems for the Trade Surveillance team to detect fraud and market abuse.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services using Python to monitor orders and trade activity.
• Implement logic to identify fraud and market abuse across global markets and multiple asset classes.
• Collaborate with the Trade Surveillance team to enhance detection capabilities.
• Maintain and improve software engineering practices within the surveillance domain.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Quartz.
• Knowledge of fraud detection mechanisms.
• Understanding of trade surveillance processes.
• Ability to work with various financial asset classes.
• Experience in financial services or banking environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate qualification.

Preferred Skills

• Deep understanding of global market trade activity and order flow.
• Prior experience in fraud detection within a financial institution.
