Description

Build and maintain backend systems and infrastructure to replace legacy Java services with scalable Python solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python-based APIs to automate GitLab processes and replace legacy Java systems.
• Develop an enterprise framework in Python modeled after existing Java-based chassis frameworks.
• Utilize AWS services including Lambda, ECS, and EC2 to support scalable in-house frameworks.
• Extract and analyze pipeline metrics to identify performance optimization opportunities.
• Create reusable services and tools to support cross-functional development teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Flask or FastAPI for backend development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda, ECS, and EC2.
• Working knowledge of Java to support legacy API transitions.
• Exposure to Angular for minimal UI involvement.
