Description

You will expand and refactor Python tools to extract data from Plexos modeling software into Microsoft SQL databases.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Expand existing client-developed tools to extract data from Energy Exemplar's Plexos software into Microsoft SQL databases.
• Refactor the application to work generically across multiple department instances.
• Coordinate with vendors to transition data extraction from binary to Apache Parquet format.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and create Agile user stories.
• Participate in an Agile framework using two-week sprints.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience developing Python applications.
• Proficiency with Python libraries including Flask and Pandas.
• 3+ years of experience creating and optimizing SQL scripts.
• Experience working within an Agile development framework.
• Proven ability to gather requirements from business users and implement project requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using JIRA for Agile development.
• Knowledge of Apache Parquet format.
