Description

You will own backend systems in a distributed environment, leading the migration of legacy C and PHP codebases to modern Python architectures.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain resilient software components within cloud-based distributed systems.
• Migrate legacy systems from C and PHP into modern Python architectures.
• Write self-testing code using unit tests to ensure system reliability.
• Influence technical direction and lead team engineering decisions.
• Manage workloads using Kubernetes and AWS services.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional programming experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with PHP.
• Experience with DynamoDB.
• Experience managing workloads with Kubernetes.
• Practical knowledge of AWS technologies including EKS, Lambda, RDS, Aurora, and Dynamo.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with database and cloud technologies beyond the core stack.
