Description

You will own the full software development lifecycle, taking features from concept to production release while collaborating with Product and other engineering teams to define requirements and build solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build clean, extensible APIs and backend services using Python.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Troubleshoot software issues and debug within a large, existing codebase.
• Contribute to technical documentation to improve system maintainability.
• Implement security, monitoring, and documentation best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building backend software.
• Strong proficiency in Python and at least one framework: Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, SQS, and API Gateway.
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases, specifically DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
• Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architectures, and batch processing.
• Proficiency in testing best practices using pytest or unittest.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering and Product teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to visualize processes.
