Description

You will lead the migration and maintenance of a large-scale Python and Django codebase.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade existing projects from Python 3.6 and Django 2.2 to Python 3.8 and Django 3.2.x or current LTS versions.
• Perform dependency analysis and security audits to address CVEs and ensure module interoperability.
• Manage AWS Elastic Beanstalk configurations and documentation, including requirements.txt, on Linux 3.3.13.
• Investigate and resolve monthly server lock-ups caused by memory leaks.
• Optimize logging, error reporting, and notification processes to improve server stability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience with Python.
• Expert-level Python knowledge applied to large, multi-module projects.
• Significant Django experience, specifically with multi-table deployments.
• Experience with Django 2.2.
• Experience working within Linux version 3.3.13 environments.
• Proficiency with AWS Elastic Beanstalk deployment.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
