Description

You will build and maintain Python applications with a strong focus on Linux environments, REST API development, and data processing.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and consume REST APIs using Python.
• Write shell scripts and manage Linux infrastructure.
• Process JSON and XML data streams.
• Design and query relational databases using SQL.
• Manage source control and software development lifecycle practices with Git.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Linux and shell scripting.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with JSON and XML data parsing.
• Proficiency with relational databases and SQL (e.g., MySQL).
• Experience with Git and standard SDLC practices.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Java and Apache Tomcat.
• Experience supporting Java WAR applications.
• Background in financial, enterprise, fixed income, market data, or Treasury systems.
