You will migrate legacy SAS codebases into Python to improve the scalability and maintainability of analytics pipelines.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret existing SAS Base and Macro programs and workflows.
• Re-engineer SAS logic into Python using Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, and PySpark.
• Validate Python outputs against original SAS results to ensure functional parity.
• Refactor Python scripts to optimize performance, readability, and scalability.
• Build automated test routines and document legacy components.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Python for data-focused applications.
• Deep understanding of SAS Base and Macros.
• Proven experience performing SAS-to-Python migrations in production.
• Proficiency with Pandas, NumPy, and SQLAlchemy.
• Strong SQL knowledge and familiarity with ETL workflows and data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience using Jupyter Notebooks and Git version control.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PySpark or distributed processing tools.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
