Description

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Python and Django.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservice architectures with clearly defined service boundaries and RESTful APIs.
• Develop web applications using Django and Flask, ensuring clean MVC architecture and object-oriented design.
• Manage relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and integrate third-party libraries from scratch.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, conduct peer code reviews, and track agile sprints in JIRA.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker for deployment across Development, Testing, and Production environments.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Python, Django, and Flask.
• Strong proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs and SOAP web services.
• Deep knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
• Experience with frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Proficiency in cloud deployment using AWS (EC2, S3) and containerization with Docker.
• Experience with packaging and distributing Python modules (setuptools, wheel, PyPI).
• Familiarity with error tracking (Sentry) and log analytics (Sumo Logic).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with django-guardian for object-level permissions and authorization.
• Expertise in writing Dockerfiles, docker-compose, and API gateway configurations.
• Experience configuring Jenkins pipelines for full CI/CD automation.
