Description

You will own the development, maintenance, and automation of database infrastructure and legacy systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain database infrastructure and automation scripts using Python and shell scripting.
• Troubleshoot and maintain legacy Perl, ksh, and Python-based systems with minimal downtime.
• Build new functionality and enhance existing infrastructure components to support system growth.
• Perform unit and integration testing to validate solutions before deployment.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure system reliability and deliver projects independently.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Python scripting for infrastructure automation (5+ years).
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting, specifically Korn Shell (ksh).
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting legacy Perl systems.
• Proficiency in Linux environments (RHEL 6, 7, 8).
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex infrastructure issues.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with IT processes such as ITIL and SDLC, including Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of Docker or container technologies.
