Description

You will build and maintain custom search and analytics applications using FastAPI and Elasticsearch.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain custom search applications, REST APIs, and reusable libraries of index templates and custom analyzers.
• Index data from diverse sources including Databricks and Snowflake.
• Optimize Elasticsearch performance by analyzing query patterns, tuning indexing, caching, and JVM heap size to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with data engineers to construct efficient ETL pipelines that ensure data quality and integrity.
• Research and prototype new Elasticsearch features, including AI-based relevance tuning and graph capabilities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Python scripting.
• Extensive experience with Elasticsearch, including querying, indexing, and implementing AI/ML use cases.
• Expertise in building REST APIs using FastAPI.
• Experience indexing data from Databricks and Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
• Proficiency with Git and Bitbucket for source control.
• Experience managing packages via private registries like JFrog.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD tools, and the software development lifecycle.
• Understanding of secure coding practices, compliance, and open-source licensing.
