Description

You will build and optimize custom search and analytics applications using FastAPI and Elasticsearch.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom search and analytics applications using FastAPI and Elasticsearch.
• Index data from diverse sources, including big data systems like Databricks and Snowflake.
• Tune Elasticsearch performance by analyzing query patterns, optimizing indexing, caching, and JVM heap size.
• Build reusable libraries for index templates, custom analyzers, and scripts.
• Collaborate with data engineers to construct efficient ETL pipelines and maximize data integrity.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in Python and Python scripting.
• Deep proficiency with Elasticsearch, including implementing AI/ML use cases.
• Experience building REST APIs using FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience querying Elasticsearch and optimizing complex search, filtering, and aggregation requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
• Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, and package management via JFrog.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD, and the software development lifecycle.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and open-source licensing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience prototyping Elasticsearch features like AI-based relevance tuning or Graph capabilities.
