Description

You will lead the architectural direction and technical execution of Python-based software applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own code quality through personal reviews and strategic delegation.
• Write production code, develop server-side logic, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Drive architectural decisions in consultation with engineering leadership.
• Mentor developers and participate in hiring, promotions, and team growth decisions.
• Manage solution delivery into production in coordination with operations teams.

Required Skills

• 11+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience leading development teams, including onshore and offshore resources.
• Expertise in Python programming and object-relational mapping.
• Experience building server-side web applications and microservices.
• Proficiency with AWS or similar cloud platforms using serverless architecture.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and web technologies including HTTP, AJAX, and HTML/XML.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and XSL.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and software security principles.
• Experience with data pipelines or distributed message queues.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to establish and evangelize Python coding standards across the organization.
• Collaborate with project management to maintain prioritized backlogs and delivery schedules.
