Description

Lead engineering efforts for scalable Python applications, balancing architectural decision-making with hands-on development.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own code quality through direct development and thorough peer reviews.
• Drive architectural decisions in consultation with engineering leadership.
• Design and deliver server-side web applications, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Mentor developers and participate in hiring, promotion, and team growth decisions.
• Manage the technical backlog and production delivery in coordination with project management and operations.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• 4+ years of experience leading development teams, including managing onshore and offshore resources.
• Expertise in Python programming and server-side logic.
• Experience with serverless architecture within AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of web technologies including HTML/XML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and HTTP.
• Proficiency with REST, XSL/XSLT, and XPath.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and software security principles.
• Experience with data pipelines or distributed message queues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with object-relational mapping (ORM).
• Background in managing budgets and driving operating efficiencies.
