Description

You will develop and maintain software products focused on the Open edX ecosystem.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and debug Python code to build responsive web applications.
• Customize and develop Xblocks and set up LTI integrations.
• Extend existing functionality and develop custom APIs.
• Integrate third-party services including SAML, SSO, payment gateways, and webinar/streaming tools.
• Manage Open edX production configurations, theming, branding, and microsites.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong programming knowledge in Python and the Django framework.
• Deep understanding of MOOC architecture and Open edX platform.
• Experience with Open edX setup, installation, and enhancement.
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience managing components like RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of Dev stack and Docker.
• Experience with Open edX mobile app branding and analytics setup.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with third-party open-source integrations like BBB and Discourse.
• Experience with secured media streaming and e-commerce services.
