Description

You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of Python backend services supporting NLP and Chatbot solutions.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Python-based backend services for NLP and conversational AI.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.
• Coordinate with New York and India technology teams to ensure delivery alignment.
• Provide technical leadership on backend architecture, NLP, and Gen AI implementations.
• Oversee development, testing, deployment, and operational readiness of applications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience with strong Python proficiency in a Unix environment.
• Experience with Gen AI applications, including LLMs, Agentic workflows, RAG, and Vector DBs.
• Proficiency in SOA and webservices (REST/SOAP), XML/JSON processing, Swagger, and Open Spec.
• Knowledge of messaging systems such as IBM MQ or JMS.
• Expertise in source control and build packaging using Git, Ivy, or Maven/Gradle.
• Strong grasp of OOA&D, SOLID principles, clean code, and design patterns.
• Experience with test automation (unit/functional) and distributed application design.
• Familiarity with cloud architectures, performance engineering, and scaling on AWS and Azure.
• Ability to build and consume RESTful APIs in a global, distributed team setting.
