Description

Lead backend development for NLP and chatbot solutions, owning the full lifecycle from design to deployment while bridging NY and India teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Python backend services for NLP and conversational AI applications.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions using cloud-native platforms.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to align priorities and drive technology transformation initiatives.
• Provide thought leadership on backend architecture, LLM integration, and Agentic patterns.
• Ensure operational readiness through rigorous testing, deployment, and performance engineering.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of software development experience with deep expertise in Python.
• Strong background in Gen AI applications, including LLMs, Agentic workflows, RAG, and Vector DBs.
• Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs, Webservices (REST/SOAP), and XML/JSON processing.
• Experience with messaging systems such as IBM MQ or JMS.
• Solid grasp of SOLID principles, Clean Code, Design Patterns, and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.
• Familiarity with Source Control (Git) and build tools (Ivy, Maven, Gradle).
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed, global team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using TFS, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
• Knowledge of PowerShell or Unix shell scripting.
• Experience with cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or OpenShift.
