Description

You will develop, test, and maintain IT solutions using Python and R, ensuring code quality through unit testing, peer reviews, and strict adherence to design and documentation protocols.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain production code in Python and R, including batch processing and scheduling logic.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with SQL, DB2/Netezza, or SQL Server databases.
• Conduct unit testing, performance evaluation of purchased products, and peer code reviews.
• Document system architecture, design decisions, and maintain internal applications throughout the SDLC.
• Evaluate third-party libraries and technical alternatives to meet business and security requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in technical design and coding within the IT industry.
• Strong proficiency in Python and R, including required libraries for data processing and automation.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs using Python.
• Database knowledge in SQL, DB2/Netezza, or SQL Server, including stored procedures.
• Proven ability to process batch files and develop scheduling for batch processes.
• Familiarity with change management procedures, IT controls, and system development life cycle (SDLC).
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and flowcharting tools like Visio.

Preferred Skills

• Experience evaluating and selecting technical libraries based on pros and cons analysis.
• Background in developing solutions that enforce data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
