Description

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios and potential risks
• Design, document, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios
• Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing
• Conduct API testing using Postman or similar tools; validate requests/responses, HTTP status codes, and JSON/XML payloads
• Perform basic SQL/database validation to verify data accuracy and integrity
• Identify, document, prioritise, and track software defects through resolution
• Maintain test documentation, execution results, and testing evidence
• Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Support UAT and production-release validation activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards

Required Skills

• Manual Testing — test case creation and execution
• API Testing — Postman or equivalent
• Defect tracking — Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
• SQL / database validation
• SDLC and STLC knowledge
• Agile / Scrum environment experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Test automation — Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• REST/SOAP APIs and Swagger/OpenAPI knowledge
• Git or other version-control systems
• CI/CD concepts
• Performance or security testing exposure
• ISTQB certification
• Good written and spoken English
