Description

You will support Mainframe Transformation project teams by applying expert QA testing knowledge to client agency technology applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform software testing activities including implementation validation across multiple test streams under tight deadlines.
• Develop QA artifacts such as use cases, test cases, and scenarios based on software requirements and design.
• Execute manual and automated integration, system, and regression testing for transactional database applications, Informatica bridging, and legacy mainframe systems.
• Conduct ADA accessibility testing and report daily on test status and metrics.
• Analyze user requirements and procedures to identify opportunities for process automation or system improvements.

Required Skills

• 8 years of experience in Smoke, Regression, Black box, and White box testing.
• 8 years of experience with Software Quality Assurance or Software Engineering Methodologies.
• 8 years of experience writing, revising, and verifying test plans and test procedures.
• 8 years of experience interpreting business requirements and design specifications into test procedures.
• 8 years of experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• 4 years of experience with database queries to create input data and verify updates.
• 2 years of experience with Mainframe application testing (COBOL, JCL, MK4, or CICs).
• Experience testing applications written in .NET, Java, and Oracle/MS SQL environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ADA planning, Informatica, and Change Data Capture (CDC) testing.
• Knowledge of Microsoft, Java, n-tier web technologies, and cloud testing.
• Experience in load and stress testing or the Oil and Gas industry.
