Description

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for APIs using the Karate framework. Collaborate with developers and business analysts to translate requirements into effective test cases. Execute API tests to validate functionality, performance, security, and compliance. Develop end-to-end automation suites to ensure high-quality releases. Integrate automation tests within CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test scripts for RESTful APIs using Karate.
• Execute comprehensive API tests covering functionality, performance, and security.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproducible steps.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks for scalability and efficiency.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing with a focus on API testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Karate framework.
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Java, JavaScript, or Groovy.
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API protocols and JSON/XML data formats.

Preferred Skills

• Banking or Financial Services domain experience (payment systems, core banking).
• Working knowledge of SQL for database testing.
