Role Overview
seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with recent (last 1–2 years) experience in the Trading/Financial Markets domain. This individual will work closely with development and business teams to ensure the quality and performance of high-volume, low-latency trading platforms.
Candidates must have hands-on automation skills, solid knowledge of Linux environments, and strong SQL abilities. Banking-only QA experience will not be considered; trading, brokerage, or capital markets exposure is a must.
Key Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end functional, regression, and automation testing for trading platforms.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium and BDD tools like Cucumber.
Write and execute SQL queries to validate data and perform back-end testing.
Work extensively in Linux/CLI environments for testing, troubleshooting, and deployments.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Ensure test coverage for FIX protocols, order management, and trade execution flows.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) testing pipelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
7–14 years of experience in software QA/testing, with recent trading domain experience (last 1–2 years).
Hands-on automation testing with Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber (BDD).
Strong knowledge of Linux Command Line Interface (CLI); experience working in non-Windows environments.
Solid RDBMS experience with SQL queries for validation and troubleshooting.
Exposure to trading protocols and asset classes: FX, FIX, Fixed Income, Bonds, Equities, Derivatives.
Understanding of testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience testing trading workflows like order routing, matching engines, and post-trade processing.
Exposure to tools like Jenkins, Git, or other CI/CD frameworks.
Familiarity with performance testing and scripting languages (Python, Shell)
