Description

You will perform advanced analysis and application testing for the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) within the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) section.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements and design documents to develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases.
• Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases, documenting all issues, results, and testing summaries.
• Perform automation, manual testing, and data validation using advanced SQL queries to manipulate data.
• Collaborate with developers and customers to understand functionality and communicate identified issues clearly.
• Provide testing effort estimates and status updates during sprint and release cycles.

Required Skills

• 7 years of experience testing complex web applications.
• 7 years of experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• 3 years of experience with SQL and database languages.
• 2 years of experience with XML, JSON, and API testing.
• 2 years of experience with test automation using open source technologies or in-house frameworks.
• 2 years of experience with test frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with WAPT Pro or other performance testing tools.
• Previous experience using Jira or Zephyr Scale.
• Previous experience with the Texas Student Data System (TSDS).
